Welcome to the world of The Lead Character - Mr Adam Green.
Adam Green is a single pupil barrister who has serious misgivings about his ability to become a practicing junior barrister. Although Adam comes from a poor background, he has worked hard studying and even managed to get into Oxford University - no small achievement. His love and passion for justice will lead him to buck up against his pupil master - a misery money grabbing KC (King's Counsel) and some very dark characters indeed. He also has some dark patches in his past too as he attempts to hide a dark secret from his peers and senior colleagues - one that just might get him thrown out of chambers!
The Author
Rob Rinder MBE is a qualified and experienced barrister specialising in criminal law. We have seen him on TV numerous times with his own programmes such as Judge Rinder (starting in 2014) and The Rob Rinder Verdict (2019) amongst many others. Rob has also appeared on our screens, radios, in newspapers and magazine articles. One of the most memorable being his life and family history on BBC One's Who do you think you are - a very personal expose on his families troubles and grief through the Nazi occupation of Europe in world war two and how a large proportion of his family sadly were murdered by Hitler's Concentration Camps. This book which Rob is hoping to turn into a series, feels very personal as though Rob was taking us through his life via the medium of the main character Adam Green. Like Adam, Rob is rather shy and likes to keep his personal life private but will not hold back if he feels there has been an injustice (much like myself).

Why Read The Trial?
Books on criminal law and crime in general are nothing new. I mean look at the Queen of crime Dame Agatha Christie's numerous acclaimed books. However, Rob Rinder's fictional book The Trial is something different altogether. He reveals the soul of the story and his characters - not just giving the life but making them completely 3D. You do not need to be a legal wiz kid to understand the book. Rob builds on everyone's basic understanding of the criminal courts in England UK and then gives us a deeper knowledge of law and court processes as he builds the story line and brings the book to life making it jump off the page at you. You just will not want to put it down.
It is no surprise that The Trial has received such acclaim and reached the dizzying hights of The No. 1 Sunday Times Bestseller list. Leading authors have been sharing rave reviews along side other criminal barrister authors. Expressing that it is a good read would be a huge understatement. With the plot taking more twists and turns than spaghetti junction - you will have to read to the end to find out who done it! This book is magnificent and spell binding - I sincerely hope that his books keep coming if The Trial is anything to go by. So what are you waiting for???? Go buy it😉!
